About Château de Corcelles Fleurie

Nestled in the rolling hills of the Fleurie appellation, Château de Corcelles produces one of Beaujolais’s most refined expressions of Gamay. With over 200 years of winemaking heritage, this estate combines tradition and modernity to craft a wine of exceptional elegance and depth.

Terroir & Viticulture

The granitic soils of Fleurie impart delicate minerality and vibrant freshness to the fruit. Vines are cultivated using sustainable practices, with hand-harvesting to ensure only the ripest grapes enter the cellar. Gentle whole-bunch carbonic maceration preserves the wine’s aromatic purity and silky texture.

Tasting Notes

On the nose, expect bright aromas of wild red berries, rose petal, and subtle spice. The palate is smooth and supple, revealing notes of raspberry coulis, pomegranate, and a hint of black pepper. Fine-grained tannins and a crisp acidity lead to a long, fruit-driven finish.

Food Pairing & Serving

Serve Château de Corcelles Fleurie slightly chilled (14–16°C). It pairs beautifully with charcuterie boards, roasted poultry, grilled salmon, and soft cheeses such as Brie or Camembert. For a festive touch, enjoy it alongside mushroom risotto or Asian-inspired dishes with light spices.

Aging Potential

While delicious upon release, this Fleurie benefits from 2–5 years of cellaring, during which tertiary notes of leather, truffle, and dried herbs will evolve, adding complexity and depth.

Beaujolais

Vineyard:
The Château de Corcelles was rebuilt on the foundations of an old stronghold built in the Carolingian era. The Richard family took over the property in 1984. The vineyard now covers 92 hectares. The Fleurie vines are between 30 and 70 years old. On a granite terroir, the plots are located to the south-east and north of the commune of Fleurie, near the Moulin à Vent appellation and its famous Rochegrès terroir.
