Suduiraut |
House Château Suduiraut, Premier Cru Classé in 1855, is one of the historic vineyards of Sauternes. Vineyard: Château Suduiraut, Premier Cru Classé in 1855, comes from a selection of the most prestigious terroirs of the estate. This wine, entirely made to measure, reveals incredible complexity and great beauty with its sun-colored dress, turning amber as it ages. With remarkable longevity, it harmoniously and powerfully combines aromas of flowers, fruits, candied and roasted grapes Region: Bordeaux Appellation: Sauternes AOP 1er Grand Cru classé en 1855 Vintage: 2011 Color: White Capacity: 750ml Grape variety: Sémillon 93%, Sauvignon blanc 7% Packaging: Carton Alcohol: 14 Taste Sweet and creamy Tasting: With an intense golden yellow color, Château Suduiraut 2011 has a very fresh nose of citrus fruits, such as orange and lemon, ripe fruits such as yellow peach, enhanced with green anise and a mineral touch. The palate shows the characteristics of the vintage with a smoothness always counterbalanced by a beautiful freshness. The richness is there but without ostentation, we find candied fruits, such as lemon, then ripe apricot and vanilla. The finish is rich, long on candied citrus fruits, and very fresh, a sign of the vintage. Château Suduiraut 2011 is a complex and very supple wine despite the concentration. Comment from the estate Serving temperature: 10 Sale: sold individually Allergen: Sulfites Note Tasted blind during the horizontal tasting of Sauternes 2011. The Château Suduiraut 2011 initially has a muffled nose: dried honey and quince, scents of damp wool and almond paste that gradually open up with aeration. Coming back after 10 minutes, a comforting gingerbread note. The palate is viscous on entry and full of tension. There is a lively line of acidity here, quite linear at first, but it unfolds nicely towards the finish and offers notes of honey, tangerine and even a touch of rhubarb! This is a class act, a Sauternes that doesn't need to shout about its intrinsic qualities.
