Chapelle de Brivazac Bordeaux AOP

Vineyard
Burned during the revolution, the Château de Barbe was rebuilt at the same time as the Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux, by Victor Louis. It is a superb residence, which overlooks the Gironde and is surrounded by its vineyard in one piece. It is made up of 42 hectares of limestone hillsides in the Côtes de Bourg appellation, 12 ha in the Bordeaux appellation, and 13 ha in the Bordeaux Supérieur appellation, on the edge of the estuary, where the “Chapelle de Brivazac” is produced.

Winemaking
Vinification is traditional with destemming and sorting of the berries in vats. Pre-fermentation maceration is done cold and vatting lasts from 3 weeks to 1 month depending on tasting. Aging takes place in vats, with fining and filtration before bottling.

Tasting
It is a well-balanced wine, with a full nose dominated by fruit. It reveals a round mouth, beautiful substance and coated tannins.
