GREEN WINE 90-91/100 The nose is crunchy, fruity and offers a ne intensity and a ne gourmandize (in the background). It reveals notes of ripe/crunchy blackberry, rasp-berry and small notes of small berries associated with very slight touches of owers (violet) and very slight hints of spices (nutmeg, a subtle hint of Cuben pepper). The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a juicy frame, a ne juiciness, tension, a ne richness/concentration, a beautiful ness as well as a ne straightness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed strawberry, crushed cassis and small notes of crushed blackberry associated with touches of small red berries, violet, rose as well as very discreet hints of cardamom, nutmeg and subtle hints of chocolate (on the nish).

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 La Dame de Bouärd leaps from the glass with fragrant raspberry pie, crushed plums and boysenberries scents plus hints of cinnamon stick, rosehip tea and wild thyme. Medium-bodied, soft and juicy in the mouth, it has a wonderfully fragrant finish. |
