Château Victoria Haut-Médoc Bordeaux
History and Terroir
Nestled on the Left Bank of the Gironde Estuary, Château Victoria benefits from the gravelly soils and maritime climate that characterize the Haut-Médoc appellation. With a winemaking tradition passed down through generations, the estate combines ancestral practices with modern techniques to produce rich, distinctive wines.
Grape Varieties and Winemaking
The blend is primarily Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot and a touch of Petit Verdot. The hand-harvested grapes undergo rigorous sorting before fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Aging in French oak barrels for 12 to 15 months imparts subtle spicy notes and silky tannins to the wine.
Tasting Profile
The nose reveals aromas of ripe blackcurrant and plum, alongside notes of cedar and tobacco. The palate is rich and well-structured, featuring notes of dark fruit, graphite, and a delicate minerality. The finish is long and refined, with powdery tannins and refreshing acidity.
Food Pairing and Service
Château Victoria pairs beautifully with grilled red meats, game dishes, and aged cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C in large Bordeaux glasses to fully appreciate its aromatic complexity. For added finesse, allow it to age in the cellar for 5 to 10 years.
