Vauthier Family |
Vineyard: |
A very old vineyard, Château de Fonbel is one of the three properties of the Vauthier family with Ausone and Moulin St Georges. It is managed by Alain Vauthier assisted by his daughter Pauline, with the support of oenologist Gilles Pauquet. Depending on the vintage, some of the wines vinified in thermoregulated stainless steel vats will then move into barrels to gain in lightness, elegance and flavor. The blend of Château de Fonbel wines remains around 85% Merlot with a complement of other grape varieties, suggesting a great diversity in the field of possibilities. Challengers by nature and benefiting from certain innovations before its illustrious neighbors, the wines of this estate express themselves on the fruit, elegance and subtlety with tannins always very integrated for easy consumption in their youth |
