Château de Corcelles Beaujolais-Villages Vieilles Vignes is a refined Gamay wine from the historic Château de Corcelles estate, showcasing deep red fruit character, silky tannins, and true terroir expression from century-old vines in the Beaujolais-Villages appellation.

Château de Corcelles Beaujolais-Villages Vieilles Vignes hails from low-yielding Gamay vines, over 70 years old, planted on blue schist and granite soils. The result is a wine of intense red berry and cherry aromas, complemented by floral notes and a mineral core.

Gently fermented and aged in stainless steel and neutral oak, this wine offers bright acidity, polished tannins, and a lingering, spicy finish. Perfect with charcuterie, roast poultry, and medium-aged cheeses, it delivers both immediate pleasure and cellaring potential up to eight years.

About Château de Corcelles

History of the Estate

Dating back to the 12th century, Château de Corcelles is one of the oldest estates in Beaujolais. Revived by the Roche family in 2004, it blends medieval heritage with modern viticulture, honoring tradition at every step.

Vineyard & Terroir

The Vieilles Vignes cuvée is sourced from Gamay vines planted over 70 years ago on steep, granite-rich slopes. These old vines yield concentrated fruit and reveal the true minerality of Beaujolais-Villages terroir.

Winemaking Process

Grapes are hand-harvested and sorted before gentle carbonic maceration to enhance fruit purity. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine then matures for 8–10 months in a mix of stainless steel and neutral oak vats to preserve its fresh character.

Tasting Profile

Color: Bright ruby red with purple highlights.

Aroma: Ripe cherries, wild strawberries, violets, and a subtle hint of pepper.

Palate: Silky tannins and crisp acidity frame the vivid fruit, while a touch of earth and minerality leads to a long, elegant finish.

Food Pairing & Serving Suggestions

This versatile red pairs beautifully with charcuterie platters, grilled sausages, roast chicken, mushroom risotto, and soft cheeses like Brie or Camembert. Serve slightly chilled at 14–16°C (57–61°F).

Cellaring Potential
