Bravo!

As for La Mission Haut Brion 2012, this wine (41% of total production) continues to perform as it has for almost a century. At the first level of quality, this amazing wine is full-bodied and very concentrated with notes of graphite, fine charcoal embers, creme de cassis, blackberry and subtle earthiness. The wine is ample and powerful, rich and concentrated. And of course, the alcohol level tips the scales at 15% from a blend of 62% Merlot and 38% Cabernet Franc. This is a big success from La Mission Haut Brion which should age effortlessly for over 30 years. However, the tannins suggest that this wine should not be touched for 5-6 years, as it is one of the more backward of the 2012 Pessac-Léognan. Well done!

Château La Mission Haut-Brion 2012

Noble red wine from Pessac-Léognan, Château La Mission Haut-Brion offers aromas of licorice and black fruits, a dense mouth with fine tannins and a fresh finish. It goes perfectly with red meats,
game and poultry dishes. An exceptional Bordeaux grand cru 2012. 97/100 Parker
Château La Mission Haut-Brion 2012 presents notes of great maturity such as licorice, but also notes of freshness, such as menthol.
Fruits and a slight woodiness of oak complete this aromatic complexity. The alcohol level is once again high and gives the wine a sort of lightness, an airy side. But you should not rely on it because
the wine is very powerful.
The tannins are coated, leaving an impression of softness, the taster is under the spell. There is great balance and harmony in this wine. It is also marked by a very good length, the prerogative of great
wines.
