Pommard Louis Latour

Pommard Louis Latour Pommard is for many, the most familiar Burgundian appellation. The village is located four kilometers south of Beaune and the appellation area is relatively large and covers 300 hectares. This cuvée comes from vines averaging 30 years old, located on clay-limestone soil. The wines of Pommard are noticeably different from those of neighboring villages. They tend to be deeper and more concentrated than Beaune or Volnay wines and have sumptuous aromas and supple tannins. Trader-breeder since 1797, today the House remains independent and family-run, headed by Louis-Fabrice Latour, representing the eleventh generation.

This wine is adorned with a pretty ruby color, it reveals a nose with aromas of black cherry and liquorice. The palate is round and tannic with a very nice freshness on the finish.

Grape: Pinot Noir
Taste and flavor: Supple and velvety
Alcohol content: 13.5°

Served at 14-15°C, it goes well with duck confit, beef bourguignon or even cheese such as Pont l'évêque or Époisses.
