Château Escalette
Bordeaux - Côtes de Bourg AOP
Vineyard
This 15-hectare Château is one of the Richard family's first purchases in the 1950s. Today managed by François Clauzel, the grapes are worked and carefully cultivated to obtain a wine in the Côtes de Bourg tradition, full and silky.
Winemaking
Classic, with destemming and crushing of the grapes. Cold pre-fermentation maceration. Vatting 3 weeks to 1 month depending on tasting. Aging in vats and clarifying filtration during bottling.
Tasting
A pretty wine with a purple color. We discover the intensity of the nose of very ripe red fruits, with nuances of strawberry and raspberry. Its suppleness, its mid-palate volume combined with a finish with fine tannins give the whole a delicious profile.
