Advice: |
This wine goes well with many dishes such as roast poultry, noble fish and certain seafood products such as scallops and langoustine tails. As for cheeses, choose uncooked pressed cheeses such as Reblochon, Cantal or St-Nectaire |
Tasting: |
This wine with a dark garnet color is very open, with notes of blackcurrant and prune. It benefited from a very sunny year and reveals a powerful, complex structure on the palate, but with airy tannins |

Neal MARTIN: 88-90/100
The LARRIVAUX 2015 is a blend of 41% Merlot, 38% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Cabernet Franc and 10% Petit Verdot. It has a beautiful roundness and an impressive fruity depth on the nose: layers of blackberry and raspberry tinged with vanilla. The palate is medium-bodied with fairly "thick" tannins on the attack, this Petit Verdot adding a seasoning to the blend - white pepper, a touch of spice. This is a bold LARRIVAUX with lots of substance that may need 3-4 years in the bottle.
DECANTATION: 87
Points Nose of charming elegant Merlot and good firmness of Cabernet in the finish with a feminine touch from the owner B TESSERON. ANTHOCYANES Yan CASTAING: 16/20 Floral, black fruits, beautiful freshness. Matter, a beautiful tannic structure, power with an elegant, floral side. A lovely fruity and dynamic wine.
Gault&Millau review: 15/16 (88-90/100)
A fairly light color for the vintage, announcing a fairly lively and floral fruit on a background of small red fruits. A lovely wine more focused on charm than complexity, but you should not deny yourself the pleasure of drinking it. |
