Vineyard: The Chinon appellation is located in the Loire Valley between Saumur and Tours. The estate extends across the commune of Cravant-les-Coteaux, in the heart of the appellation. It produces red wines that are pleasant in their youth, improving with age and developing suppleness and delightful aromas. It was undoubtedly with Chinon in mind that François Rabelais wrote, "Rumor had it that salted beef made one find wine without a candle." This cuvée comes from vines averaging 30 years old.
