Château Carbonnieux white is a legendary wine.

Vineyard:
Founded in the 13th century by the Benedictine monks of Sainte-Croix Abbey, Château Carbonnieux is among the oldest in the Bordeaux region. In 1956, Marc Perrin acquired the château, which was classified as a Grand Cru Classé in 1959 for both its red and white wines. Today, his grandsons, Eric and Philibert, have taken over the reins following the immense work of their father, Antony. The vineyard is planted on a beautiful, naturally drained gravelly slope. It now covers 92 hectares in a single block, 50 of which are dedicated to red grape varieties.

Region: Bordeaux
Appellation: Grand Cru Classé de Graves AOP Pessac-Léognan
Color: White
Volume: 750ml
Packaging: Cardboard
Soft and full-bodied

Serving suggestion: Serve at 12-14°C as an aperitif, with pan-seared scallops, crayfish, sole with butter, sea bass baked in a salt crust, shrimp tempura, or turbot with morel sauce.

Tasting notes: This wine, with its pale and brilliant color, is fruity, lively, and fresh thanks to the Sauvignon Blanc, and rich thanks to the Sémillon. It reveals aromas of white flowers and citrus fruits (lemon, grapefruit), with a hint of vanilla. Its finish is smooth, marked by notes of hawthorn and a refreshing character.

Serving temperature: 12-14°C
