| Dominique Laurent Chambolle-Musigny |
Winery: Dominique Laurent Vineyard: Dominique Laurent pioneered a new style of winemaking in the late 1980s: a small operation, rigorous selection of wines, and complete collaboration with the winemakers from whom he buys the wines, which he ages in barrels from his own cooperage. Known and respected for his négociant wines, Dominique Laurent has been leasing vineyards since 2006, alongside his son, Jean, who manages the vines, makes the wine, and ages the wines with his father. The Laurents prefer to vinify with whole-cluster grapes and age their wines without added sulfites, in barrels from their own cooperage. Region: Burgundy Appellation: Chambolle-Musigny AOP Color: Red Volume: 750ml Grape Variety: Pinot Noir Alcohol: 13% Taste: Powerful and full-bodied Food Pairing: Osso Buco, veal chop with chanterelles, or small game birds.
