House: E.Guigal Vineyard: The Domaine Guigal was founded in 1946 by Etienne Guigal in Ampuis, a small ancient village and the cradle of the Côte-Rôtie appellation. It is home to a unique vineyard, where vines and wine have been celebrated for 2,400 years. In 1961, although very young, Marcel Guigal took over the management of the House alongside his father. His son, Philippe, is now the general manager and oenologist of the house. He represents the third generation. The estate now consists of 75 hectares of vines.
