Alsace wine is mainly produced as white wine, it can be produced as red wine under the Alsace Pinot Noir appellation. In this region are produced some of the greatest white wines in the world! The whites can be produced in dry whites, sweet whites, late harvests, selection of noble grains, with all the typically Alsatian grape varieties except Sylvaner and Pinot Noir of course
